The Yankton City Commission this week debated the extension of the face mask mandate. That resolution was passed in early December and since then, active cases of Covid-19 in the county have dropped sharply. The proposal would extend the mandate to late May.
Commissioner Amy Miner says it makes sense to extend the mandate until vaccinations catch up…

Commissioner Stephanie Moser (mo-zhur) says it may be time to roll back the restrictions…

Commissioner Dave Carda (sar-da) says he thinks the resolution is working…

The commission will hold a public hearing and act on the face mask mandate at their next meeting on February 22nd.
