Petitioners are out across the state, asking Nebraskans to sign a petition to place the death penalty on the November ballot.
Some of those petitioners are being followed by those opposed to the death penalty.
Secretary of State John Gale says both have the right to make their opinions known. . .

Gale says his office is in contact with county attorneys across the state to ensure both sides follow the rules.
