Dairy producers have until tomorrow to sign up at their local Farm Service Agency office for the margin protection program. National Milk Producer Federation’s Chris Galen recommends producers enroll as it’s the only safety net program available to them.

Galen says a little over half of the nation’s dairy producers have already enrolled in the program.

He says they have a website available to help producers decide what type if any coverage they may want to choose for their operation.

Producers have until the end of business on November 20 to enroll in the margin protection program.
