Time is running out for farmers to enroll in this year’s crop insurance coverage with March 15th as the deadline.  According to Chad Hart, ag economist with Iowa State University, there are few changes to this year’s crop insurance program.  Hart says farmers can base their crop insurance coverage on the farm program thay are participating.

Hart says minimum coverage is listed at 50 percent, but he says many farmers choose to get additional coverage beyond the minimum limits.
