Farmers are reminded the deadline to certify their crop acres with the Farm Service Agency for farm programs and prevented plant is Monday July 15. Nebraska FSA Spokeswoman Bobbie Kriz Wickham says certification is required to be eligible for most FSA programs.
She says its imperative producers call their county FSA office for an appointment before stopping in.
Wickham says producers can also report their prevented plant acres at the same time they report their certified acres.
The prevented plant reporting deadline applies to mainly spring planted crops such as corn, soybeans and grain sorghum.
