The US Drug Enforcement Agency has wrapped up a year long operation that identified the connections between Mexican drug cartels and communities across the nation.

Emily Murray with the DEA Regional Office in Omaha says it was “Operation Last Mile”…..

Murray says the drugs are landing everywhere….

In the last year, investigators from the Omaha office directly linked twenty six cases directly to the cartels.

Murray says they expect those numbers to increase….

Murray says they are also seeing increased use of social media by the cartels to move their drugs.
