Davison County Commission Rejects Permit for Wind Farm

The Davison County Commission voted 4-1 yesterday to deny a conditional use permit for a proposed wind farm just west of Mitchell. The farm would have consisted of nine to eleven turbines on a 3-mile by 1-mile area of land owned by Brad and Peggy Greenway. Travis Krumvieda, who lives near seven wind towers in the White Lake area, talked about the impact the wind towers have had on his life…

Doug Greenway told the commission that this is a big opportunity for Davison County….
