For the third time this season and second week in a row, South Dakota State’s Mike Daum was named the Summit League’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced Monday by the league office.

Daum averaged a double-double in a pair of dominant Jackrabbit victories last week, helping his team take down Kansas City, 75-47, and Northern Iowa, 82-50. Daum put up 25.0 points and 14.5 rebounds per game, shooting 68.2 percent overall from the field.

The Kimball, Nebraska native has now been recognized 14 times in his career as the league’s weekly honoree. He trails only Nate Wolters and Caleb Green (Oral Roberts), who each won it 15 times, for the most in league history.
