For the sixth time in the 2017-18 season, South Dakota State’s Mike Daum has been named the Summit League’s Athlete of the Week.

Daum averaged a double-double for the week, putting up 33 points and 15.5 rebounds per contest in a pair of Jackrabbit victories, shooting over 47 percent from the field with an 11-for-13 effort at the charity stripe.

The Kimball, Nebraska native started the week with a 35-point, 18-rebound double-double against Omaha Tuesday, setting a new career high with 15 made field goals. He followed that performance with his fifth consecutive double-double Thursday against North Dakota State, dropping 31 points while pulling down 13 boards.

Daum has now earned the award 10 times in his career, the third-most on record. His yearly total is the second-highest total all-time.
