Players from South Dakota State and South Dakota have earned the weekly basketball honors from the Summit League.

For the third straight week, South Dakota State’s Mike Daum was announced Monday as the Summit League’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Daum became the Summit League’s all-time leading scorer last week, moving past Michael Watson (UMKC) and Caleb Green (Oral Roberts) in the league’s record book with a 42-point showing against Southern.

South Dakota sophomore center Hannah Sjerven has been named the Summit League women’s Player of the Week.

Sjerven garners the award for the first time in her career. She totaled 27 points, 11 blocks and 11 rebounds for the week as the Coyotes moved to 9-1 on the season.
