South Dakota State basketball star Mike Daum will join the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers for the 2019 Las Vegas Summer League.

Daum, who announced his intentions via Twitter over the weekend, concluded his South Dakota State career as the most decorated player in the Jackrabbits’ Division I history.

The Kimball, Nebraska native became the 10th member of the NCAA’s 3,000-point club in February, and left SDSU as a three-time Summit League Player of the Year, 2018-19 USBWA Third-Team All-American, three-time AP Honorable Mention All-American and first-ever Summit League player to be named a consensus All-American.

Portland begins its 2019 Summer League schedule on July 6 and will play four preliminary games. From there, the top eight teams are seeded into a tournament, with the summer league championship set for July 15.

The Trail Blazers won last year’s summer league event and reached the Western Conference Finals in this year’s NBA playoffs.
