The damage done to Gavins Point Dam by the 2011 flooding has been repaired. Dave Becker, Operations Manager for the Corps of Engineers at the dam, says they wrapped up the final work a few weeks ago…

 

The dam released massive flows into the Missouri River following record rains and snowmelt upstream. Becker says crews did a lot of work the last two winters to repair the damage done by the heavy water flows…

 

Becker says they will now have crews do maintenance on the spillway gates…

 

He says that work should extend into next year.
