The Dakota Access Pipeline Project continues to secure the necessary easements in preparation of construction of the more than eleven hundred mile crude oil pipeline.

State authorities in North Dakota, South Dakota and Illinois have signed on, but Dakota Access is still waiting for formal approval in Iowa….

That’s Vicki Granado, Spokeswoman for Dakota Access. She says they have helped clear up a lot of misconceptions about the pipeline…

Granado says once the pipeline is completed, the land returns to its former use….

During construction, Granado says Dakota Access will pay substantial state sales taxes to North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Illinois. They also will pay significant property taxes in the four states once the pipeline is in service. Additionally, she says Dakota Access will employ up to 4,000 construction workers per state to build the 1,168 miles of 30-inch pipeline.
