The 59th South Dakota Dairy Princess will be crowned tonight at the Central Plains Dairy Expo in Sioux Falls.  Seena  Gleasing coordinates the contest.  She says they have five contestants vying for the chance to represent and promote the dairy industry throughout the year.

She says for the first time ever the crowning will be done as part of the expo welcome reception.  This will allow dairy producers to meet the young lady that will be an ambassador for their industry.

Five candidates are competing in tonight’s contest and will receive scholarships from Midwest Dairy Association.
