The Central Plains Dairy Expo gets underway in Sioux Falls this week Wednesday and Thursday. The Central Plains Dairy Expo Foundation in conjunction with that event has been providing scholarships and grants for those working or wanting to work in the dairy industry. Foundation Executive Director Chris Maxwell says they’ve not only provided scholarships but have also has developed a grant program that’s invested in communities in the region.

He says both the Expo and the Foundation have helped drive the growth of the dairy industry in the five state region along the I-29 corridor.

Maxwell says their scholarship programs have been growing and they have some new ones to offer this year.

Maxwell says anyone interested in applying for scholarships or grants or wanting more information about their foundation can go to their website. (at centralplainsdairyfoundation.org.)
