Iowa State and Iowa were among the winners in men’s basketball action Tuesday night.

Bryce Dejean-Jones scored 22 points and No. 14 Iowa State beat Missouri-Kansas City 73-56 on Tuesday for its third straight win.

Dejean-Jones topped 20 points for the third time for the Cyclones (6-1), who’ve won 25 straight non-conference games at home.

Aaron White scored 15 points and Iowa overcame a sluggish first half in a 67-44 win over Alcorn State on Tuesday night. The Hawkeyes (8-2) have won six straight games heading into Friday’s showdown with No. 14 Iowa State.

“Our guys are playing well together,” Iowa coach Fran McCaffery said. “Very unselfish team, sharing the ball, rebounding the ball, not turning it over. Do that, you’ve got a chance.”
