The Yankton City Commission has agreed to a continuing contribution to the Convention and Visitors Bureau of the Yankton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Community Planning Director Dave Mingo updated the commission last night about the yearly contribution from the Business Improvement District. That is the district formed to collect surtaxes from motels in the city. Mingo says the distribution will amount to about eighty eight hundred dollars this year…

Commissioner Brooke Blaalid (blah-lid) said the money will be a big help in tourism promotion…

The commission vote eight zero to approve the transfer.
