University of Nebraska officials will submit a 960-Million-dollar operating budget to the Board of Regents next week that contains 22-Million dollars in proposed cuts.
Chief Financial Officer Chris Kabourek says officials have attempted to create as lean a budget as possible for the four-campus system. . .
Kabourek says the proposed budget for the next year does NOT include a tuition increase, but does ask the board to give officials authorization for a mid-year tuition hike if the state legislature withholds some of its appropriation. . .
State lawmakers cut the four-campus university budget one percent, down from the four-percent cut recommended by Governor Ricketts.
