The Natural Resources Conservation Service is now taking applications for the Conservation Stewardship Program. Last week USDA officials announced there is $150 million available for CSP. South Dakota NRCS CSP Coordinator Jessica Michalski says South Dakota has the most acres enrolled in this working lands conservation program.
She says since the first CSP signup in South Dakota six years ago, the popularity has increased.
Michalski says there are several conservation enhancements landowners can use on their cropland with the CSP.
Michalski says anyone interested in signing up for the CSP should stop in their local county NRCS office.
