CSP Signup Deadline Approaching

Farmers and ranchers have a short window to sign up for this year’s round of funding for the Conservation Stewardship Program at their local Natural Resources Conservation Service office. Center for Rural Affairs Policy Manager Anna Johnson says the deadline is May 10.

She says if producers miss the deadline for signup this year they will have to wait a whole year to be considered for a CSP contract.

Johnson says CSP has been a very popular program and farmers and ranchers can get more information on the USDA NRCS or Center for Rural Affairs websites.

She says any questions regarding flood impacts on CSP should be directed to the county USDA office. Johnson says they also have flood resource information available on the Center for Rural Affairs website.
