The same day newly elected Crow Creek Tribal Chairman Brandon Sazue was sworn into office; he hit the ground running, and declared a state of emergency on suicides among the tribe.
Sazue was inaugurated Tuesday at the Crow Creek School in Stephan.That same day Sazue, along with the tribal council, declared a state of emergency due to suicides on the Crow Creek reservation…

He says the tribe is not doing enough to combat the suicide epidemic, and more is needed.
