One of Nebraska’s longest serving school Superintendents will call it a career at the end of this school year.
Randy Anderson submitted his resignation to the Crofton School Board at their meeting last night.

He has been in that position for thirty six years, and he says it is time for a change…

Anderson says he delayed his retirement, in part when he was asked to serve at the Superintendent in the neighboring Hartington Public District…

Anderson said he wanted to stay to help with the merger of the Newcastle district into Hartington Public.

Anderson says he thinks rural school districts can survive, but there are challenges…

Anderson had submitted his resignation to the Hartington-Newcastle board last month.
