Freshman Zac Seljaas made 5 of 6 3-pointers and scored 19 points and BYU used a big second half to beat Creighton 88-82 on Tuesday night in the NIT quarterfinals.
The Cougars (26-10) will face Valparaiso (29-6), which beat BYU’s fellow West Coast Conference member Saint Mary’s, at Madison Square Garden on March 29.
Geoffrey Groselle led Creighton (20-15) with 22 points. Cole Huff had 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Creighton led by as many as 12 points in the first half but made just two of its last 11 field-goal attempts and trailed BYU 38-37 at halftime.
