Louisiana Representative Charles Boustany has been campaigning to become Donald Trump’s U.S. Trade Representative. Coalition for a Prosperous America CEO Michael Stumo says Boustany would be a strange choice because of his stance on trade which is far different from the President Elects.

He says there are several trade issues that Boustany differs from Trump on.

Stumo’s group shares the President’s elect view on trade, opposing TPP and currency manipulation. He says a former steel company executive would be a good pick for Trade Representative.

The Coalition for a Prosperous America represents the interests of agricultural, manufacturing and labor members.
