CPA CEO Says G 20 Talks Critical But Doesn’t See Trade Resolution Out Of Them

There’s been much debate over whether or not there may be a resolution reached to the U.S. China trade war at the G-20 Summit the end of this month when President Trump meets with China’s President. Coalition for a Prosperous America CEO Michael Stumo says before the trade battle began there should have been something in place to protect U.S. agriculture from any retaliation.

He doesn’t see any resolution to the trade war coming out of the summit because he doesn’t think China will yield any ground.

Stumo says even if China promises to correct the problems that led to the U.S. placing tariffs on them, they shouldn’t be trusted to follow through.

Stumo says whoever comes out on top of this trade skirmish will decide which country is the global leader for the next several decades.
