South Dakota football will open the 2021 season against Kansas at Memorial Stadium in Lawrence USD head coach Bob Nielson announced Wednesday.
It will be the third-ever meeting between the two programs, which last met in 2013.
Kansas is the third Big 12 Conference team found on upcoming schedules. The Coyotes will take on Kansas State to open the 2018 schedule and will face Iowa State to kick off 2020. In 2017, South Dakota will face Drake in its season opener before taking on Bowling Green in week two.
