South Dakota men’s and women’s basketball teams visited Denver Saturday and left with a split.
Joe Rosga scored the first 13 points of the game for Denver en route to a game-high 23 points as the South Dakota men’s basketball team fell 84-68.
The Coyotes suffer their first Summit League road loss and are 6-2 in conference action and 18-6 overall. Denver, who won its third-straight game, improves to 10-12 overall and 4-4 in the loop.
South Dakota’s trio of starting guards paced the Coyote offense in an 82-60 road win over Denver in women’s action.
South Dakota (17-5, 8-0 Summit) extends its winning streak to 11 games overall and 11-straight against Denver (12-11, 3-5 Summit). The Coyotes’ 11-game streak is tied for fifth in the nation.
