A career-high 27 points from Tyler Hagedorn and a strong second half carried the South Dakota men’s basketball team to a 76-62 victory Sunday at San Jose State.
The Coyotes improve to 11-3 on the season, their best start in the Division I era. San Jose State falls to 2-8 on the year.
Hagedorn tallied six-made 3-point baskets and went 8-of-16 from the field for the game-high 27 points, leading four Coyotes in double digits. Matt Mooney scored 18 points as Trey Burch-Manning and Carlton Hurst each added 11 points.
Trailing 37-33 at halftime, the Coyotes turned in a second half that saw USD shoot 52 percent from the field after shooting 37 percent in the first half.
