–Megan Glisar finished ninth in the women’s high jump and Cody Snyder finished 18th in the men’s discus at the USATF Outdoor Championships held this past weekend at Sacramento State University. The championships concluded on Sunday.
Glisar, who competed on Sunday, cleared the opening height of 5 feet, 10¾ inches on her third attempt before missing on all three attempts at 6-0¾. Inika McPherson, who competed unattached, won the event with a mark of 6-6¾.
Snyder competed on Friday and had a best throw of 172-9. Hayden Reed of Alabama won the event with a mark of 204-0.
South Dakota graduate assistant coach Kenna Wolter also competed at the meet, finishing sixth in the women’s triple jump on Thursday night with a mark of 43-7¼.
USD will have two athletes at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships next weekend in Eugene, Ore. Danielle Waldner will compete in the shot put and Emily Brigham will compete in the pole vault. That meet begins on July 5.
