Sophomore guard D.J. Davis has quit the basketball team at University of South Dakota.

Davis started 31 of 32 games this past season and was the team’s third-leading scorer at 9.2 points per game. He also led the team in steals with 41, had 83 assists and averaged 3.6 rebounds.

“We support D.J. and his decision to transfer,” said USD head men’s basketball coach Craig Smith. “We appreciate D.J.’s contribution to our program and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
