Vinnie Shahid scored a game-high 27 points and Rocky Kreuser hit a dagger 3 in the closing minutes to lift North Dakota State to a 77-74 win against South Dakota Wednesday inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

The Bison (20-7, 11-2 Summit) extended their win streak to seven games while South Dakota (19-10, 9-5) lost at home for just the second time this season.

The result means South Dakota will play in the evening session of the Summit League Tournament on Sunday, March 8, at the Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls. The Coyotes can be seeded no higher than three and no lower than six.

Tyler Peterson tied his season-high with 18 points on 9-of-12 shooting to lead South Dakota.
