Athletes from South Dakota and South Dakota State were among the event winners on day two of the Summit League Track Championships in Macomb, Illinois.

South Dakota senior Megan Glisar, junior Analisa Huschle and sophomore Tyler Frank grabbed titles on a drizzly day at Hanson Field for the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships. After two days of competition, the Coyote women are in second place with 94 points and the men are third with 48.

Jeremiah Ary captured a title and five other SDSU Jackrabbits earned all-league accolades on the second day.

At the end of two days, the men’s team is second with 59 points while the women’s team sits in third place with 52 points.

South Dakota captured the top spot in both the women’s and men’s high jump.

Competing in the final Summit League Championship of her career, Glisar captured her fourth league title. She tied her own meet record from two years ago when she cleared 5 feet, 11 ½ inches. Freshman Colette Christensen took seventh at 5-3 ¼.

Frank added to his indoor league title by clearing 6-8 ¼. He made all five bars leading up to his winning height on the first attempt.

Huschle, the 2012 Newcomer of the Championship, has been battling injuries since her freshman campaign. She grabbed her first Summit League title since 2012 when she long jumped 19-11 ½. Huschle also qualified for the finals with the fastest preliminary time in the 200 meters (24.27) and second-fastest time in the 100 meters (11.86).

Ary won the long jump with a distance of 23-1.75. Ary, who won the triple jump at the 2014-15 Summit League Indoor Track & Field Championships, became the eighth Jackrabbit to win a title at both the indoor and outdoor Summit League championship meets during the same season.

Mary Wirth placed second in the high jump with a height of 5-10.50. With that performance, she took home all-Summit League honors at every Summit League indoor and outdoor championship meet that she competed at as a Jackrabbit.
