Coyotes, Jacks Host Spring Games

Friday night in Vermillion and Saturday morning in Brookings will feature spring football games for South Dakota and South Dakota State.

The Coyotes will have their Friday night game at 7 p.m. to wrap up spring practice for a team coming off a 4-7 season, 3-5 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

USD will open the 2017 season at Drake on September 2.

South Dakota State will play its spring game at 10 a.m. Saturday morning and it can be heard on 570 WNAX.

The Jacks won their first MVFC title last season with a mark of 7-1 in league games. SDSU went 9-4 overall and advanced to the NCAA FCS quarterfinals.

SDSU opens its 2017 campaign with a Thursday night game at home against Duquesne on August 31.
