Coyotes Get Non Conference Win

Casey Kasperbauer was 5 of 9 from beyond the arc for 15 points to lead four players in double figures as South Dakota rolled over NAIA’s Avila 84-60 on Tuesday night.

Tyler Larson had 12 points, Tre Burnette added 10 points with 11 rebounds and Brandon Bos had 10 points for South Dakota (14-14), which took a break from Summit League play.

Avila led 17-14 midway through the first half but Larson drove for a layup to start a 14-0 run for a 28-17 lead at the 7:23 mark. The Coyotes led 43-29 at the break and were ahead 74-46 with 7:28 left in the game.

South Dakota scored 30 points in the paint and had 31 second-chance points. The Coyotes held a 49-17 advantage on the boards, including 21-6 on the offensive end.

D’Vante Lewis scored 15 points and Nduka Ezeamii had 13 for Avila.
