Senior diver Greysen Hertting and sophomore swimmer Hannah Gupton were named the Summit League Women’s Diver and Swimmer of the Week, respectively, for the period ended Oct. 10 as announced by the league office Tuesday.
A native of Appleton, Wis., Hertting earns the first award of the 2016 season. This is the 26th time in her career that she has won the Diver of the Week honor, which extends her league record. Hertting swept both diving events over the weekend as the Coyotes defeated Minnesota State 169-129. She scored 260.63 points on the one-meter dive and 315.30 on the three-meter dive.
Hailing from Sandy, Ore., Gupton was named the Summit League Swimmer of the Week for the first time in her career. She earned three victories over the weekend, two individual evnets and one relay. Gupton captured the 100-meter fly in 1:06.47 and the 200-meter fly in 2:32.81. Gupton also swam the butterfly leg of the 200-meter medley relay, helping the Coyotes win with a time of 2:01.65.
