Florida Gulf Coast University will make the trip from Fort Myers, Fla., to meet the University of South Dakota in Vermillion Saturday for the WNIT basketball title.
The southern invaders defeated Michigan Thursday night 71-62 to gain the tourney finale. USD toppled Oregon Wednesday at the Dakota Dome to earn one more outing on their home floor.
Over 5,000 fans attended the Wednesday game in Vermillion. FGCU won their semifinal in front of a record home crowd of 4,600.
The Coyotes enter the game at 31-6 on the season to 33-5 for FGCU. Tipoff time is 2 p.m. and the game will be televised by CBS Sports Network.
