South Dakota football will take on the Missouri Tigers on Sept. 3, 2022, at Faurot Field in Columbia, Missouri, USD head coach Bob Nielson announced Wednesday.

It will be the first meeting between the two programs and the Coyotes’ first clash with a member of the Southeastern Conference.

Missouri has twice won the SEC East Division since joining the conference in 2012. The Tigers competed in the Texas Bowl last season and finished with a 7-6 record.

South Dakota has faced at least one FBS foe every year since 2010 and boasts wins against Minnesota (2010) and Bowling Green (2017) in that span. Future opponents include Kansas State (2018), Oklahoma (2019), Iowa State (2020) and Kansas (2021).
