South Dakota women’s basketball coach Amy Williams has announced the signing of 6-foot-4 inch Abigail Fogg to a scholarship agreement.
The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, native played for American University the past two seasons and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining when she starts playing for USD during the 2015-16 season.
“We are excited to have Abi joining the Coyote family,” Williams said. “She is a great fit for our team and will bring experience to our frontcourt.”
Fogg averaged 2.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game while shooting 52 percent as a reserve for the Eagles last season. She played in 49 games and recorded one start over her two seasons at American while scoring a total of 90 points and grabbing 116 rebounds.
As a prep, Fogg helped Korah Collegiate and Vocational School to the Sault Ste. Marie City Championship and to the Ontario Provincial Championships in 2011. She also played in the All-Canada Classic and received the ACT Basketball Award that year.
Fogg joins transfer Caitlin Duffy and incoming freshman Kate Liveringhouse as newcomers for the women’s basketball team next season.
