University of South Dakota’s 2016 football opener against New Mexico in Albuquerque, originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 3, has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. MT and will be televised on ROOT SPORTS.
It will be the first Thursday night game for the Coyotes since 2009 when the program opened at home against William Penn. It will also mark the first meeting for USD and New Mexico on the gridiron. The 2016 season is the first for the Coyotes under head coach Bob Nielson.
South Dakota’s other 10 regular season games will be broadcast on ESPN3. Six of those 10 games will be produced by Midco Sports Network.
