Coyote Earns Track Honor

 Teivaskie Lewin was named the season’s final Summit League Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week after winning the 110-meter hurdles and the long jump at the Nebraska Invitational  It’s the second straight week he has earned the honor and the seventh straight week a Coyote gained the honor.

 

Lewin, a sophomore from Montego Bay, Jamaica, won the 110 hurdles in a league-best time of 13.99 seconds, which is tied for 22nd in the NCAA West Region and 45th in the nation. He added a win in the long jump with a mark of 23 feet, 0 inches.

 

South Dakota will compete at The Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Fargo, N.D., starting on Thursday.
