South Dakota junior center Hannah Sjerven received the Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the period ended Dec. 8.
Sjerven scored a career-high 28 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked five shots in Wednesday’s 72-65 win over Creighton. It marked her third career game with five or more blocked shots. She also led the team on the boards against Coppin State, grabbing eight rebounds in limited minutes as the Coyotes won 82-44.
A native of Rogers, Minnesota, Sjerven receives the Summit’s honor for the second time of her career.
