South Dakota senior outside hitter Audrey Reeg has been named the Summit League’s Offensive Player of the Week for the period ended Oct. 2, as released by the league office Monday.

This is Reeg’s first Player of the Week award this season, and the second of her career.

“Audrey played with a lot of confidence this weekend,” said South Dakota head volleyball coach Leanne Williamson. “She understands the game so well and is able to throw the ball around the court to frustrate our opponent’s defense. She definitely deserves this recognition this week.”

A native of Dubuque, Iowa, Reeg led the Coyotes to a pair of victories as USD swept Summit League opponents North Dakota State and South Dakota State.

For the week, Reeg averaged 5.67 kills per set with a hitting percentage of .400. She tallied a match-high 20 kills against North Dakota State and hit with a .486 clip. Against South Dakota State, she recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 10 digs. She currently ranks 66th in the nation and second in the Summit with 3.84 kills per set.
