COVID-19 Cases Surge in South Dakota

The South Dakota Health Department reported seven hundred forty-seven new positive cases of COVID-19 yesterday, a one-day record high. Officials said some of those cases had been delayed from earlier in the week.

State Epidemiologist Dr Josh Clayton says the virus is spreading out across the state….

Clayton says they had been anticipating a surge in positive cases…

Clayton says prediction models did offer them some guidance for the current surge..

The state is reporting just over thirty-eight hundred active cases with over nineteen thousand recovered.
