Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, South Dakota has had over thirty-four thousand people test positive, over twenty-two hundred spent time in the hospital and three hundred thirty three people have died.
State Epidemiologist Dr Josh Clayton says they have broken down the numbers….

Clayton says the virus is much more serious for older people…

Clayton says the best response to the virus is what he calls “the swiss cheese” approach…

The positive test rate has averaged just over fourteen percent over the last week. Any rate over five percent is considered as widespread.
