The Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals says it will reconsider its order that led to the banning of Chlorpyrifos or Lorsban. American Soybean Association Vice President and Minnesota grower Bill Gordon is pleased they’re moving forward to re look at the needed chemical that’s been proven safe and is an important tool for farmers.

He says with many approved chemicals, when politics gets mixed up in the argument about them, then problems occur that can lead to banning of needed and effective products.

Gordon says it’s disappointing that once a product has gone through all the proper testing and found to be safe, that activists then take the EPA to court and convince courts to overturn their approval.

Trump administration officials were successful in getting the Circuit Court of Appeals to reconsider their earlier decision that led to the EPA ban.
