Court Could Rule Soon On Nebraska Keystone Route

Court Could Rule Soon On Nebraska Keystone Route

The Nebraska Supreme Court could rule as early as today on the state’s challenge of a lower court decision which declared unconstitutional a state law allowing the routing of the Keystone XL pipeline. BOLD Nebraska’s Jane Kleeb says however the court rules, it’s a win for pipeline opponents and a defeat for Trans Canada.
Kleeb says if the court rules against the landowners it allows for a bad route that puts at risk the Ogallala Aquifer and Sandhills.
Kleeb says her group and other pipeline opponents remain confident President Obama who has the final say on the project will stand with them over a foreign company that wants to get tar sands to the export market.
