One of the major summer study committees set up by this year’s legislature will hold their first meeting this week.

The County Government Interim Committee will meet tomorrow (Wednesday) in Pierre.

The committee was formed after hearing about financial issues that counties are facing.

Committee member, Representative Joshua Klumb of Mt Vernon says he hears about a number of different issues…

Klumb says he wants to hear from officials on all levels about the problems they are seeing…

 

The first meeting will give the committee an overview on state and local programs that affect counties.
