Voting members of Country Pride Cooperative based in Winner, South Dakota approved a resolution to sell the cooperative’s assets to farmer owned CHS Incorporated. Country Pride Cooperative Board Chairman Cody Jorgensen says it was a thoughtful process that led to their decision and believes it was the right move.

92 percent of the Country Pride Co-op members voted for the resolution and Jorgensen says that shows their patron’s support for the sale.

Jorgensen expects a smooth transition.

Country Pride Co-op has been in operation since 1935 and delivers agronomy, seed, energy, feed and grain products and services to South Dakota producers from 12 locations. Pending appropriate due diligence by both co-ops, the transaction is expected to be finalized March 1 of 2019. Terms of the transaction are not being released.
