The Governors Office of Economic Development is now making a tax rebate program available to counties to encourage more livestock development.
The program would rebate some sales and use taxes from livestock barns to the counties.

Yankton County Commission Chairman Dan Klimisch says they are looking into the details…

Klimisch says he doesn’t want to see the state push counties into those type of developments…

Klimisch says the rebate program is available in counties that are zoned….

The state rebate program does not impact any existing state or local zoning regulations.
