Cottonwood Minnesota Loses Major Employer

The small town of Cottonwood in southwestern Minnesota’s Lyon County has received news their second largest employer is moving operations out-of-state. City Administrator Charlie Seipel says 200 employees at Mid-Continent Cabinetry will lose their jobs later this year. Seipl says he reached out to their parent company:

Mayor Corey Moseng says the community is in a bit of shock:

Both Seipel(Sy-pul) and Moseng(Mo-sing) says the main focus now is working with employees to help them find new jobs. The city also hopes to attract another business to fill that location.
